Backyard habitats act as important stepping stones between natural areas that have been fragmented by development. These habitats can be as simple as a single Bird Feeder or a Solitary Bee House in your flower garden. By additionally providing native plants, water, food sources and shelter, your backyard habitat becomes a colorful and inviting refuge for migrating and resident birds, frolicking lizards and beneficial insects.

Barefoot Swan Nature Arts developed from our interest in creating our own backyard habitat to attract native desert wildlife to our yard. After much research, experimenting (and hard work!) we are proud that our yard has been recognized as a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.
